Forget the Virtual Run; You Missed It!
A group of 759 virtual runners “joined” Philippe Fuchs in the V+R Challenge to:
• Have fun
• Be a part of something big
• Support charity
Didn’t know about it? (Or just between us, perhaps a little lazy or indifferent?) Well, you missed your chance!
Eh? What’s that I hear? (A little Mehdi Tayoubi bird is whispering in my ear . . .)
“Kate, we’ve extended the virtual run deadline to September 15,” says Mehdi bird.
Did I hear that right?
“I said, WE’VE EXTENDED THE VIRTUAL RUN DEADLINE TO SEPTEMBER 15!” repeats Mehdi bird.
GREAT!
Now you, reader, yes YOU! Get your webcam/digital camera out and let ‘er rip!
–Kate
P.S. Don’t forget to show your ears in both photos for your photorealistic 3D avatar. To create your photorealistic 3D avatar (your virtual runner), the system needs to see your forehead, mouth and ears to recreate you!
P.P.S. Why not have a virtual run party/teambuilding activity, gathering your friends or coworkers for a V+R Challenge photo shoot and virtual run submission session?

Thanks Rob. In addition to parental guidance, support and presence, I think sports can be a great aid for those kids. If we can get them running or virtual running, maybe they’ll end up more covered.

Great site Kate! I’m disappointed I missed the big run, but I did check out the Facebook app and was very impressed!
You’ve got a great blog here and I’ll definitely be checking in more often!

Hi Rick, thanks for checking out the blog and especially the Facebook application! I read your blog review and saw your photo realistic 3D avatar. I’m also impressed by the quality given your webcam. I tried with a digital cam so can’t compare, but I was wondering what a webcam-generated avatar would look like, cool! Were you able to go through it all and submit your virtual run? Mere mortals like ourselves (vs Forest Gump, I mean Philippe Fuchs)can submit virtual runs until Sept. 15. Take care, Kate
